Jeffrey DeSarbo, D.O. is a physician/neuropsychiatrist and the Founder/Medical Director of ED-180 Eating Disorder Treatment Programs in Garden City, N.Y. Dr. DeSarbo was a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology from 2007-2017 and has practiced at all levels of treatment including IOP, PHP, residential and inpatient hospitalization for eating disorders and general psychiatry. Currently, Dr. DeSarbo maintains an active private practice treating over 400 patients with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, performance disorders, and eating disorders. Dr. DeSarbo continues to serve as a national and international consultant for select psychiatric cases in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and throughout the United States. 

As a clinician, Dr. DeSarbo is both a psycho-pharmacologist and psychotherapist who is formally trained in psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, mindfulness training and existential therapy, incorporating these modalities into treatment plans with medication management and bio/neurofeedback interventions. As a physician, Dr. DeSarbo views the practice of psychiatry from a biological and neuroscientific perspective with the goal of helping his patients achieve the highest quality of life and performance level both physically and mentally. He is a supervisor for resident physicians and an IAEPD certified supervisor for clinicians working with eating disorder cases. His clientele ranges from students to international politicians, prominent CEOs, figures in the entertainment industry, Olympic and leading professional athletes, and other physicians and health care providers offering mental health care and psycho/neuro coaching consultations.
